The Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CISSTAT) and the State Committee of the Russian Federation on Statistics (Goskomstat) are official producers of statistical information on the social and economic situation in the CIS countries, and Russia, respectively.  These agencies collect and analyse statistical information maintain databases, compile summary data and publish titles in paper or CD-ROM format, or by Email subscription, in Russian and in many cases also in English.
